Today's Strip:
A long time ago when I worked for one of the Giant Corporate
Clusterfucks, we had a meeting to basically have the new CTO come
in and make us all feel really good about a wave of layoffs coming
down the pike (here's a hint, never use the word Decimate to make
people feel good!) and the whole time he's giving the speech, one
of the guys who worked for me, is sitting there with his zipper
down in lounge mode, legs spread, feet tapping. And from then on
we always referred to it as showing your Alpha Male superiority in
the face of danger. Recently NerdGod
& I got chatting about a similar incident when he went to buy
feminine hygiene products I believe, and that's where today's
strip came from.
A little nod with Tuggle's shirt to the penny arcade thing that I
thought about way too late to do anything about, but a gracious
nod in that direction, always glad to see other strips getting
together on these little project things,...it really shows the
camaraderie that exists out there.
Stuff:
ANOTHER MMPOLRPG!?!?
Yep damn my hide I've got the Beta skinny on another WestWood
Game, and this one's looking pretty interesting. So far Earth
and Beyond looks like Anarchy
Online with ship to ship space
battles, and travel between galaxies (can you say expansion
potential) nonetheless this MMORPG is coming out pretty late in
the game, but they look like they might explore some nice new frontiers in the genre. The public
demo should be out soon and I HIGHLY recommend you grab it.
Speaking of Demo's The C&C Renegade I
went on and on about is now available in a handy
demo format, yet another WW title, and another prime grab and
play. You'll soon want to trade up to the full version though as
that's where the fun is
Ever feel like killing someone?
Yeah,...I'm
ranked 950 with a total of 80K kills, and it just keeps
feeling better, I'm actually on really good terms with this game,
but it DOES require a LOT of imagination though. Of course It
helps if you're a drummer with a 5 button mouse
I FINALLY broke out the SIMS
When The
SIMS first came out I grabbed it, played it for like 20
minutes, realized that it was just WAY too much like life to be
fun, and threw it in the closet. My secret benefactors (who send
me games and get me on Beta lists) sent me the add-ons for the
game, so I reinstalled it and tried the whole thing out again. I
made it about and hour before I found the cash cheat online,
redesigned their house giving them all the best appliances,
furniture, and gadgets made, and threw about 90 million dollars in
their bank account for the maid, the gardener, and food. I figure
what the hell,...someone should be able to live the dream, and I
didn't want to hold out on them if I had the power to make them
happy. Guess I'd make a lousy god huh? :)
